AWWF FAQs
is this for widows only?
The original concept was to reach as many widows as possible, share experiences, provide specialist support services based on my own personal experiences of being a widow. However, a loss of a loved one is still a loss and we are here to offer you a range of services, a community you can belong to who have gone through similar life events.
can someone choose to be anonymous?
Of course. We protect your contact details (name and email) under GDPR compliance regulations. You can reveal to others in the SLTT Community your identity at your own discretion.
how long does it take to heal from losing a loved one?
This is a daily conversation that you may be having with yourself almost everyday in the beginning. If you do not seek out resources, counselling, build a support system or belong to a Community of others who are also feeling the common pain, healing can take many more years than it should. We cannot imagine living without them but we have to, in the best way that we can. Hence signing up here is the first step to regaining your life.
my mother lost her life partner? How can i organise for her to sign up?
We have Vouchers that you can purchase as a gift. Purchase a three month trial and sit with her and go through the website & App together so when she is alone she is already familiar with what we do. She can take it from there.
how to use this site to support others through their loss?
As bystanders we often do not know what to say, how to act, how to sympathise with friends and family who have suffered bereavement. Our live events, podcasts and open mike sessions are here to help you become a pillar to those dearest to you and who you can sense they need you. Follow up under Community Events & Services.
should i read the book and then work through the workshop or do it concurrently?
The first two chapters of my book is the story of my life until I found my love, the life I lived and up to his passing. I believe it is better to read the serialized book to capture the storyline. Workbooks serve to bring issues out in the open & enable you to tackle everything life is throwing at you in an ordered manner.
